Estonian Standard wins tender to furnish Hilton Munich Airport Hotel

The Estonian furniture manufacturer Standard has won a tender to furnish 162 rooms of the Hilton hotel at the Munich airport, which in monetary terms represents the company's biggest single contract in Germany, informs LETA/BNS.

"It's an ambitious project that covers designing, manufacturing and installing the furniture as well as logistics. In addition to furniture, the contract includes providing other hotel-specific furnishing products to find which we'll use our good cooperation partners," Standard board member Priit Tamm said. This is the fourth hotel of the Hilton chain to be furnished by the company.

According to Tamm Standard won the tender thanks to references, experience and its international name in the hotel furnishing segment. "Furnishing on the all-in-one principle is increasingly becoming a daily part of Standard's sales strategy. This means that we no longer solely design and make the furniture but can direct the entire furnishing process starting with the idea and ending with the completed interior. It's the most convenient solution for the customer," he added.

Standard has been active in Germany for 10 years but made a breakthrough last year, Tamm said. "In 2016 Germany will become Standard's largest export market. Besides the Hilton, we have four more extensive hotel projects to complete there this year. Momentum has been added by our having a sales representative in Germany and German-language project management in Tallinn," he said.

Standard has previously completed furnishing projects in three Hilton hotels: at the Vantaa airport and Hilton Strand in Helsinki and the newly opened Hilton Park Hotel in Tallinn.
