Lithuanian furniture retailer Berry invests over EUR 1 mln in its first store in Latvia
The money was invested in renovation and furnishing of the
store as well as in customer service and public relations.
The five-level store at 201 Brivibas Gatve, Riga, will have
the total area of 10,000 square meters and will employ a staff of 35 people.
The Berry store in Riga will offer products of Berry's own
brands and also other brands in various price categories.
Berry has been in the business in Lithuania for more than 20
years, said Marketing and Sales Manager Giedre Jasiene. At present there are
eight Berry stores in Lithuania, including three stores operated by
franchisees.
The store in Latvia will be run by KBP company which was
founded in 1996 and belongs to Lithuanian company Klaipedos Baldu Prekyba. KBP
reported a loss of EUR 1,350 on a zero turnover for 2015.
