A businessman has blasted British Airways for serving up 'burnt chicken nuggets' and food that almost made him 'wretch' on his flight home from an Indian Ocean holiday paradise.
Adam Ball posted pictures on social media of the 'awful' food he was serve on his BA flight from Mauritius to London.
Mr Ball, who was travelling with his family, detailed what he claimed was 'truly inedible' fare on the journey, tickets for which typically cost in excess £2,500 return per person.
Adam Ball shared his on board food pictures to Facebook, detailing his experience with British Airways. Mr Ball sued an emoji saying he was 'feeling pained' after his long haul flight
Posting on August 12, Mr Ball, whose plumbing and heating firm is based in Dorking, Surrey, wrote: 'Here's some pics of the truly awful and inedible food my family were served with on a flight from Mauritius to London.
'In case you're wondering, the first one is a children's meal - burnt chicken nuggets (don't think it's appropriate to feed to a dog let alone children).
'The second one is vegetable lasagna (I had this - almost made me retch). The third one is sausage, egg, potatoes and burnt beans for breakfast.
'I complained regarding our experience - standard auto reply from customer services. Things have sunk to an all time low BA. Never ever again.'
Mr Ball said the chicken nuggets (left) served to his children were burnt and he wouldn't even feel comfortable serving it to his dog. He also slammed the lasagna served to him (right)
The director of Derham Ball Services Limited, whose flight is likely to have taken between 17 - 21 hours, claimed food was 'amongst countless other problems with our recent long haul BA flight'.
On social media, Ian Sterrett, said: 'Holy crap. Oh wait - maybe it is crap.'
Andrew Tim Sheppard, posted: ' Looks like dogs*** for real.'
Patricia Doyle Brown added: 'I've learnt to take my own food on my long haul flights from Miami to Heathrow.
'It's unthinkable that you now have to pack your own meal when flying BA.'
Mr Ball (pictured) was supported when he posted his rant to Facebook. BA said they try to 'ensure our meals are full of flavour at 35,000' - despite people branding the food 'disgusting'
Elliot Kinch wrote: 'BA = Beyond Abomination'
Dianne Gornall posted: 'The sad thing is we are paying such extortionate prices for these flights. I have lived in Bermuda for 35 years where BA has the monopoly. We have no choice other than to fly this flight for a direct route.
'They know this, therefore, prices are BA (beyond astronomical). Flights are often delayed and service is terrible.
'When I first came here. It was such a pleasure despite the high fares. Now I dread it every time I have to go home.'
Pauline Wilby added: 'Disgusting.'
A spokeswoman for British Airways said: ' We pride ourselves on the quality of the meals we offer on board, and have recently launched a multi-million pound investment programme into our World Traveller catering.
'Our team of expert chefs from around the world develop new menus every month to ensure our meals are full of flavour at 35,000ft.
'We are sorry that our standards fell below our customer's expectation on this occasion.
'Feedback is always passed on to our catering teams who check the quality of the food we serve on board every week.'
