Two Alabama alumni will be among the celebrity announcers of picks at the NFL Draft next week.
The NFL will use current and former players to announce the Day 2 selections. The second day of the draft will feature the second and third rounds on April 25.
Shaun Alexander and Terrion Arnold will be among those presenting picks.
The 24th selection in last year’s draft, Arnold will announce Detroit’s second- and third-round selections after completing his rookie season as a starter in the Lions’ secondary.
Arnold is among five active players slated for Day 2 duty, joining Carolina Panthers running back Chuba Hubbard, Miami Dolphins fullback Alec Ingold, New Orleans Saints offensive tackle Ryan Ramczyk and Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor.

Alexander will announce the Seattle Seahawks’ second-day picks. Alexander played eight of his nine NFL seasons for Seattle and won the NFL Most Valuable Player Award with the Seahawks in 2005, when he led the league in rushing and set an NFL single-season record with 27 rushing touchdowns.
Alexander joined Seattle as the 19th choice of the 2000 NFL Draft. Alexander and six other players will mark the 25th anniversary of the 2000 draft by participating in this year’s event. The other 2000 draft members set to announce picks include John Abraham for the New York Jets, Keith Bulluck for the Tennessee Titans, Dante Hall for the Kansas City Chiefs, Julian Peterson for the San Francisco 49ers, T.J. Slaughter for the Jacksonville Jaguars and Dez White for the Chicago Bears.
It could be a busy day for Alexander. Seattle holds four Day 2 picks – the 50th, 52nd, 82nd and 92nd selections.
The Lions are scheduled to pick once apiece in the second and third rounds – at No. 60 and No. 102 overall.
