A Montgomery woman has been charged in the death of her infant daughter.

Brenika McGhee, 26, is charged with capital murder in the slaying of 4-month-old Zuri McGhee, police announced Thursday.

Montgomery police were dispatched at 6:20 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, to a residence in the 3300 block of Fountain Lane, said Sgt. Tina McGriff.

Officers arrived to find Zuri unresponsive. She was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
