Star Furniture promotes VP of stores to lead all showroom ops

HOUSTON — Star Furniture, part of Top 100 Berkshire Hathaway’s furniture division, announced that Rodney Watson has been promoted to vice president of stores.

Watson, who joined Star Furniture in May 2024 as director of stores, brings more than 30 years of retail leadership experience to the role. In his expanded position, he will oversee staffing, customer experience, sales performance and financial outcomes across all Star Furniture locations.

Before joining Star Furniture, Watson held senior leadership positions at major retailers including Best Buy, where he served as marketplace director and general manager, and with Ultimate Electronics as regional manager and general manager.
